L'appartement 102 propose un regard sur des jeunes créateurs issus de l'École Supérieure d'Art et de Design de Saint-Étienne (Jonas Barry, Laura Ben Haiba, Rémi De Chiara, Adrien Gervet, Elise Henneghien, Valentine Henry, Yoann Jacquon, Marlène Janin, Anne Le Troter, Morgane Pluchon, Quentin Simonin, Éric Vaudatin, Élodie Vichos).
Le projet d'exposition "Conversations", lancé en décembre 2009 s'inscrit en événement OFF de la biennale de design de Saint-Étienne. L'appartement 102, situé au premier étage d'un petit immeuble du centre ville, à 5 minutes à pied de la cité du Design, propose une surface de 110m2 avec tout ce qui fait le charme d'un appartement authentique; hauts plafonds, parquet en chêne, cheminées d'époques et moulures.
Le temps d'une conversation entre les disciplines et les formes, l'appartement se transforme en lieu d'exposition où se rencontrent les travaux de jeunes artistes, designers et graphistes.
Les différentes pièces exposées s'articulent autour de notre rapport au territoire privé, questionnent l'espace de l'appartement, et interrogent l'architecture de notre quotidien jusqu'aux limites du mobilier et de l'objet.
L'exposition, gratuite au public, se déroulera du 20 novembre au 05 décembre de 12h à 19h.

The "appartement 102" offers a look at young artists from the School of Art and Design in Saint-Etienne (Jonas Barry, Laura Ben Haiba, Rémi De Chiara, Adrien Gervet, Elise Henneghien, Valentine Henry, Yoann Jacquon, Marlène Janin, Anne Le Troter, Morgane Pluchon, Quentin Simonin, Éric Vaudatin, Élodie Vichos).
The exhibition project "Conversations", launched in December 2009 is an OFF event of the Saint-Etienne International Design Biennial. "Appartement 102" is located on the first floor of a small building downtown, 5 minutes walk from the "Cité du Design" and offers an area of 110m2 with all the charm of a traditional apartment, high ceilings, oak floors, fireplaces and moldings.
For the lenght of a conversation between the disciplines and forms, the apartment turns into an exhibition that highlights the work of young artists, designers and graphic designers.
The various exhibited artworks and objects are refering to our relationship to private area, the space of the apartment, and question our daily life architecture to the limits of the house furnishing and the object in general.
The exhibition is in open access (free) and runs from November 20 to December 05 from 12am to 7pm.
